Execution

Execution marks the threshold at which inward possibility passes into consequence. Until this point, intention remains private, unstable, and capable of revision. Here, however, thought hardens into deed. The work attends to the precise instant in which contingency closes and action enters the world as fact. In this sense, execution is not simply an event, but a conversion: the movement from imagined act to lived reality, from internal impulse to material trace. The painting holds that charged interval in which authorship becomes undeniable and the subject is bound to what has been set in motion.
